Adventure Pilot

Adventure Pilot is a paragliding student capable of flying from the take-off to the landing zone in stable weather conditions, in altitude gliding. At this level, the student is still allowed to fly ONLY with radio communication and under Instructor’s supervision.

Prerequisites/ Course contents/ Obligation

To enroll in an APPI Adventure Pilot course, an individual must :

  1. Be certified as an APPI Open Sky pilot or have a qualifying certification from another training organization.
  2. Minimum age 14 years old with authorization of legal representative, and according to local rules (Federation/ Civil Aviation/ Army, etc).
  3. Minimum 10 days course with a certified instructor.
  4. Complete the theoretic and practical: analyze, technique and mental preparation stage 2.
  5. Have minimum 10 flights done (logbook), with instructor on radio.

Training and Certification

Adventure Pilots candidates must satisfactorily complete all course performance requirements. To apply for certification, the certifying APPI Instructor submits online a completed, signed Pilot Application to APPI website, along with the required photo, application fee and other qualifying certification documentation (if applicable).
Upon approval of the application, APPI will issue an APPI Certification Card. [1]

Become independent Pilot : Go for APPI PILOT

[1Note: Adventure Pilot Certification Card is only for students who are not completing 15 days course. If the student is IN PROGRESS, continuing his formation to APPI Solo Pilot, APPI will wait until the validation is completed, and the student will receive an APPI Solo Pilot Certification Card.
