Equivalence by country


APPI Accepts as Equivalence:

Together with validation from one APPI Master and approval of APPI standards and procedures. You need to send copies of all documents relative to your experience to APPI, plus a CV and First Aid Certification.

If your license is not listed below, APPI requests you to meet with one certified instructor for pilot equivalence, or one certified master for instructor equivalence.

It is important to APPI that our Instructors follow our high standards of quality, plus improving the APPI education system, safety while developing our sport. This allows us to promote our sport in the best way.

First Aid Rescue Certification:

  • Any first aid rescue certification following the standard of Red Cross Society and recognized by Red Cross society.

APPI Instructor:

  • French Paragliding Instructor (BEES1) + SIV certification
  • Swiss Paragliding Instructor (FSVL SHV ) + SIV certification
  • British Paragliding Instructor BHPA + CV + SIV Pilot certification + First Aid Certification

APPI Instructor Mini Wing:

  • French UCC enseignement Mini Wing
  • Swiss Instructor with Speed Riding qualification from FSVL

APPI Instructor Speed Riding:

  • Swiss Instructor with Speed Riding qualification from FSVL
  • French UCC enseignement Speed Riding

APPI Assistant Instructor:

  • French FSVL Instructor

APPI Instructor Handi fly:

  • French Instructor Handi care

APPI Tandem Pilot :

  • Swiss Tandem Pilot B (FSVL SHV ) + SIV certification
  • French Paragliding Instructor BEES1 + SIV certification

APPI Open Sky Tandem Pilot:

  • Swiss Tandem pilot A (FSVL SHV)
  • French Tandem pilot (FFVL)
  • British Paragliding Tandem Pilot BHPA + SIV Pilot certification + First Aid Certification

APPI Advanced Pilot:

  • Swiss Pilot Licence (FSVL SHV) + SIV certification + First AID Certification
  • French Confirmed Pilot (FSVL SHV) + SIV certification + First AID Certification

APPI Pilot:

  • French Pilot (FFVL)
  • Swiss Pilot (FSVL SHV)
  • UK Advanced Pilot (BHPA)
  • USHPA Advanced pilot

Adventure Pilot:

  • UK Club Pilot (BHPA)
